Navan is seeking a skilled and driven Strategic Partner Account Manager to lead a high-impact partnership with one of our key financial services partners. This role is an exceptional opportunity for a seasoned professional to own a critical relationship, orchestrating cross-functional efforts and driving growth from the ground up. Based in San Francisco, you’ll be the face of Navan to our partner, fostering on-the-ground relationships across multiple teams and delivering results with a high degree of executive visibility.
In this role, you will build strong, trust-based relationships with our partner’s team, focused on driving new business volume to Navan, managing co-sell and support requests, and delivering on a range of revenue-generating objectives. Your expertise will be instrumental in converting leads to closed opportunities, generating new leads for our Account Executives, and supporting the seamless onboarding of joint customers.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead Partnership Strategy: Serve as the primary liaison between Navan and our Strategic partner, driving alignment across sales, marketing, product, engineering, and finance teams to execute strategic initiatives. Represent Navan in discussions and ensure our partner’s understanding of Navan's offerings and support capabilities.
- Drive New Business Volume: Focus on driving incremental lead generation for Navan Account Executives, nurturing these leads to close opportunities and contribute to top-line growth. Maintain a clear view of quarterly revenue targets and actively strategize to exceed expectations.
- Deliver a Seamless Customer Experience: Manage the introduction and onboarding of mutual clients requiring our partner’s solutions, ensuring alignment and smooth transitions between Navan account managers and our partner's counterparts. Act as the point person for ongoing support to ensure a positive customer journey.
- Build & Strengthen Key Relationships: Develop and nurture a robust and collaborative relationship with counterparts across all relevant functions at our partner organization, establishing trust and rapport to maximize the partnership’s impact on growth.
- Create Structure within Ambiguity: As a self-starter, bring clarity and direction to complex projects, navigate organizational nuances, and proactively solve challenges to enhance alignment and partnership outcomes.
Key Performance Indicators:
- Revenue Growth: Achieve and exceed revenue targets through new business volume driven by the partnership.
- Lead Conversion Rate: Effectively convert leads into closed-won opportunities, collaborating with AEs and tracking lead-to-revenue outcomes.
- Customer Onboarding & Retention: Facilitate a seamless customer experience with successful onboarding and account satisfaction metrics.
What We’re Looking For:
- Location: San Francisco-based to build on-the-ground relationships with key partner stakeholders.
- Experience: 5+ years in account management, partnerships, or a similar role, ideally with exposure to cross-functional projects involving sales, product, and marketing.
- Skills: Strong relationship management, cross-functional collaboration, and project management skills; goal-oriented with a keen understanding of sales cycles and revenue impact.
The posted pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the compensation for this position and is subject to change based on business need. To determine a successful candidate’s starting pay, we carefully consider a variety of factors, including primary work location, an evaluation of the candidate’s skills and experience, market demands, and internal parity.
For roles with on-target-earnings (OTE), the pay range includes both base salary and target incentive compensation. Target incentive compensation for some roles may include a ramping draw period. Compensation is higher for those who exceed targets. Candidates may receive more information from the recruiter.
