Position Summary
Job Description
Main responsibilities will be dedicated to identifying new corporate and independent retail recruitment opportunities, developing relationships with those potential retailers, manage and streamline the critical on-boarding process and track performance(s) of those new retailers. The Strategic Account Manager (SAM) incumbent will focus on working with Colorado Lottery Sales team, Operations, and Marketing Teams as well as SG Site Teams in establishing contact with and vetting the potential retailers’ interest in becoming lottery-licensed along with obtaining the retailer’s commitment to promoting and selling lottery products in the most optimal ways. They will assist in providing input and building training programs for retailers as part of this role. The Strategic Account Manager will also perform basic troubleshoot/testing functions on lottery equipment at existing retail locations.

Recruitment:
- Will act as a liaison between potential retailers, the Lottery Sales Rep, and the Colorado Lottery Licensing division
- Work with CO Lottery Sales Reps and SGEP-CO Team members to identify, prescreen and, in time, make contact with potential lottery retailers with the goal of getting the retailer contracted to sell lottery products within their stores
- Work with CO Lottery Sales Reps in training new retailers with a focused effort on a “Raise Them Right” campaign
Raise them Right:
- Attend New Retailer Trainings and assist with devising retailer retention strategies in conjunction with the Lottery Sales Reps and the CO Lottery processes
- Conduct surveys and research with retailers that are discontinuing Lottery sales in their stores to determine pitfalls (if any) and identify approaches for better retention of current retailers
- Prepare new retailers to be turned over to CO Lottery Sales Reps for long term success
- Present performance analysis that are KPI driven to new CO Lottery retailers
Service:
- Perform diagnosis testing/trouble shootings for scheduled service calls
- Train retail employees on the functionality on SciQ lottery equipment
- Answer basic service calls at retailers related to lottery equipment function
- Basic mechanical troubleshooting and use of small tools
Qualifications:
- Daily travel in-state is required (minimal over-night stays if any)
- Strong time management skills
- Organized and methodical in routines
- Multiple skills and trades will need to be managed
- Strong communication and reporting a must
- Strong positive relationship skills
- Understanding of electronics – Smart phones, tablets, and laptops
- Valid drivers license and clean driving record
- Can Lift up to 40 pounds
- Must be able to stand for long periods of time
- Requires frequent bending/stooping
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new technologies
Education and/or Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in sales/ marketing field or 3 to 5 years retail sales and/or marketing experience – route sales a plus
- Able to interpret charts/graphs and present them
- MS Office - Ability to work fluently in Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint required. Certification a plus
- Must possess a valid Colorado driver’s license
Pay: $55,000 - $60,000 annually
