The Strategic Account Manager develops and executes account strategies that drive sales growth, profitability, and customer retention. This role manages strategic customer relationships, identifies new business opportunities, and partners cross-functionally to deliver value-based solutions that align with both customer and company objectives.
Primary Responsibilities- Develop and execute short- and long-term account plans to grow revenue, profitability, and market share.
- Manage strategic and global customer accounts while building a strong sales pipeline.
- Identify customer needs and deliver tailored solutions that create measurable value.
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to optimize business results.
- Serve as a trusted advisor by providing market, industry, and product insights.
- Collaborate with Sales, Technical, R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain teams to support customer success.
- Maintain accurate account plans, forecasts, and opportunities using CRM and sales tools.
- Mentor and support the development of less experienced sales professionals.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 7+ years of industrial sales experience, or related marketing/technical experience with at least 3 years in strategic sales.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales objectives.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as required.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs. (25 kg).
- Degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Marketing, Business, or a related field.

- Knowledge of value-based selling, pricing strategies, and CRM systems.
