The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Strategic Account Manager, Distributor Kitting Sales, you will have the opportunity to lead strategic growth with healthcare distributor kitting, kit and tray, OEM, custom procedure pack, and post-acute channel customers. You will partner across Solventum’s Medical Surgical organization, field sales teams, marketing, contracting, customer service, operations, quality, regulatory, and supply chain stakeholders to protect existing business, expand product placement within kits and trays, improve pull-through, and reduce friction throughout the distributor and kit assembly process. Here, you will make an impact by:
Developing deeper strategic relationships with assigned healthcare distributor kitting, custom procedure pack, post-acute, IDN, GPO, and supply chain customers to promote the Medical Surgical division of Solventum.
Developing and implementing strategies and tactics for business retention, profitable growth, product standardization, and pull-through within assigned customers.
Identifying, developing, and converting new growth opportunities for Solventum products used as components in medical procedure kits, trays, packs, and related healthcare distribution channels.
Serving as the primary commercial contact for kitting-related business needs, including sourcing requests, product information, new product introductions, substitutions, documentation, pricing coordination, contract alignment, and operational issue resolution.
Providing strategic direction to field sales teams and distributor partners to drive compliance, clinical value, customer pull-through, and growth across highlighted portfolios.
Monitoring account performance, sales trends, point-of-sale data, share shift, competitive activity, operational barriers, and business risks to protect and grow revenue.
Creating, presenting, and delivering insights using executive communication skills, including customer insights, growth forecasts, account risks, contract status, operational updates, and innovative approaches to value-based contracts and customer data sets.
Identifying opportunities using data trends, industry partners, Salesforce pipeline management, customer needs, distributor program performance, and organizational goals to meet growth objectives.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including marketing, contracts, pricing, customer service, regulatory, quality, operations, supply chain, and field sales, to ensure strategic alignment and timely resolution of barriers impacting kit inclusion, product availability, order flow, and customer satisfaction.
Creating and implementing strategic and operational account plans, business reviews, field engagement plans, and distributor program execution by leveraging project management skills and strong commercial judgment.
Driving Requirements:
This position requires the use of a personal vehicle for company business and participation in Solventum’s Fixed and Variable Reimbursement (FAVR) program. As a condition of employment, candidates must successfully complete a pre-hire motor vehicle record (MVR) review and maintain ongoing eligibility, including compliance with Solventum’s driver policy, insurance requirements, and annual policy sign-off. Ongoing monitoring of motor vehicle history will be conducted.
Your Skills and Expertise:
To set you up for success in this role from day one, Solventum requires, at a minimum, the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business, Marketing, Healthcare, Supply Chain, or a related field AND five (5) years of medical device, healthcare distribution, medical-surgical sales, distributor account management, supply chain, national accounts, or related healthcare commercial experience.
- High School Diploma/GED or higher AND nine (9) years of medical device, healthcare distribution, medical-surgical sales, distributor account management, supply chain, national accounts, or related healthcare commercial experience.
In addition to the above requirements, the following are also required:
Demonstrated understanding of healthcare distributor models, including acute care, post-acute, self-distribution and service providers.
Current, valid Driver’s License.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
Expert in the use of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Salesforce, PowerBI, and Tableau.
Minimum three (3) years of demonstrated leadership experience, executive-level communications, and cross-functional influence.
Previous experience with national accounts, corporate accounts, large IDN management, major healthcare distributors.
Excellent project management as well as business and financial acumen, with the ability to balance growth, margin, customer needs, operational feasibility, and long-term strategic value.
Deep knowledge and expertise in healthcare economics, clinical outcomes, supply chain management and distributor agreements.
Experience negotiating contracts, managing contract renewals, resolving account risks, leading business reviews, building distributor programs, and developing and executing business strategy.
Work location: Remote

Applicable to US Applicants Only:The expected compensation range for this position is $204,800 - $281,600, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position.
