As a Strategic Account Executive, you will be a senior individual contributor focused on establishing and growing relationships with our strategic accounts. You will play a vital role in helping these firms develop their online strategies and convert their potential market into Xero users, directly contributing to a stronger economy and making business beautiful for our customers.

The team & how they connect

You will work as part of a coordinated sales team, collaborating closely with Partner Success to increase Xero penetration within major accounts. The team focuses on nurturing positive relationships and exchanging ideas directly and kindly to ensure the long-term success of our accounting partners.

Initially, you will focus on

  • Develop and maintain relationships with Accounting Partners to ensure long-term success

  • Act as the liaison between Accounting Partners and internal teams ensuring clients’ requirements are met

  • Collaborate with Sales, Marketing & Product teams to set and suggest product evolutions

  • Ensure a formal strategic account engagement plan is developed

  • Delivering Xero introductory events to prospective strategic accounts

  • Manage inbound sales calls and tickets from prospect strategic accounts and support Senior Account Managers to be able to promptly manage regional inbound sales calls and tickets

  • Ensure Partners and staff attend introductory webinars, events & certification training

  • Educate strategic accounts on all partner resources available

  • Monitor specifically assigned strategic accounts progress through the sales cycle, while working collaboratively with the rest of the sales organization.

  • Updating CRM system with all client communications including calls, emails and meetings

  • Maintaining and updating CRM system of all practice staff and contact details

  • Respond in a timely manner to all strategic account enquiries both internally and externally

  • Driving attendance for Xero Sales led events and Partner Forums

Where and how you can work

This is a national role requiring significant travel to build face-to-face rapport with our partners and attend events across the UK. Please note that you will need the flexibility to travel across the UK. You will have the autonomy to manage your own schedule while staying connected to the team through weekly check-ins and quarterly off-sites.

  • You bring a proven track record of hunting and managing strategic accounts, specifically within the partner or vertical channels.

  • Your deep understanding of accounting workflows and practice software allows you to consult effectively with large firms.

  • You possess the ability to build quick, genuine rapport and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders.

  • Working collaboratively to achieve monthly revenue and subscription targets.

  • A track record in influencing and drive sales within partner and vertical channels.

  • Clear and persuasive communication skills are part of your toolkit, helping you present complex ideas simply and effectively to key stakeholders.
