The Red Hat Sales team is looking for a Strategic Account Executive to join us in Barcelona or Madrid, Spain. In this role, you will develop our relationship with strategic enterprise accounts in Iberia. You will focus on positioning and cross-selling Red Hat's offerings as you expand our accounts with key customers. As a Strategic Account Executive, you'll need to have an excellent combination of customer-facing sales skills and deep technical knowledge of enterprise software. This is a great opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment while helping grow Red Hat's business.

What you will do:

  • Work closely with account solutions architects and sales specialists to identify key projects to sell Red Hat's solutions 

  • Manage the account planning process and carry out strategic plans 

  • Gain the trust of senior IT and business executives in key accounts and create long-term partnerships with customers 

  • Develop new strategies for our offerings within key accounts to establish proofs of concepts and pilot implementations 

  • Work closely with product, product engineering, professional services, and product support teams to ensure excellent customer experience with Red Hat's offerings

What you will bring:

  • Experience selling software solutions 

  • Background in delivering complex customer solutions in a rapidly evolving technology domain 

  • 8+ years of field sales experience focused on strategic enterprise accounts 

  • Proven record of working closely with customers to produce solutions that exceed their business expectations

  • Experience with consultative customer engagements with a major enterprise software company or in the sales division of an enterprise software reseller 

  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills; fluent language skills in English and Spanish

  • Solutions sales mentality in an environment with multiple offerings and solutions 

  • Ability to work seamlessly with global cross-functional teams to achieve success on behalf of customers

  • Excellent combination of strategic and tactical skills
