About this role

As a Strategic Account Development Representative, you’ll play an integral role in expanding our footprint in the EdTech space to achieve Udemy’s mission of becoming the #1 learning organization in the world.

You will strategize with your Account Team members: Account Executives, Customer Success Managers, Renewal Managers, and Sales Leaders to align on a strategic prospecting strategy and go-to-market motion. You will provide valued insights and stories that showcase Udemy Business’s unique value proposition. 

With a plethora of innovative sales automation tools at your fingertips, you will become a prospecting master, continually learning new skills that will prepare you for a long and illustrious career in sales (or any path you decide to take). What you'll be doing

  • Building pipeline across the Americas Strategic business leveraging multiple sales channels to drive high-impact conversations: phone, email, LinkedIn, and gifting through a comprehensive ABM program. 
  • Demonstrating high accountability and execution within a Strategic territory, showcasing business acumen, and the ability to navigate large, complex enterprises collaboratively and through applying logic. You’ll identify and act on key buying signals and other triggers to create a compelling business case.
  • Mastering core sales skills: Call effectiveness, time management, territory planning and execution, sales tools, and digital strategy.
  • Becoming a powerful storyteller who clearly and confidently conveys Udemy Business value across our key customers and leaders who are new to the Udemy brand.
  • Leveraging the most in-demand sales tools to drive efficiency, review key metrics, and optimize processes (Salesloft, Salesforce, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Qualified, Orum, Gong).
  • Harnessing the power of AI and conversational intelligence to drive efficiencies across sales activity specifically within tools like Orum and Gong Engage.
  • Embracing the opportunity to enhance Udemy’s inclusive culture by championing yourself and the wins of others in a hybrid environment.

What you’ll have 

  • While this work is based more on the skills a person has than what they have done, we think a typical profile could include the following: 
    • Strong experience in a customer-facing role and an interest in a future career in sales
    • Experience with 1-2 years of lead qualification, business development or similar skills and a track record of success
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Outstanding organizational and time-management skills
    • A growth mindset that is recognizable by your peers
    • Experience and a demonstration of success within AI revenue technology

You build rapport and trust with prospects through active listening and clear communication which is critical for successful engagement and conversion.

You adapt quickly to new sales tools, methodologies, and market trends.   • Time Management: Time management skills are crucial for efficiently prioritizing tasks and allocating time to activities that yield the highest returns, such as prospecting, qualifying leads, and engaging with prospects. You excel at managing your calendar, and efficiently utilizing your time to complete mission-critical tasks. By effectively managing your pipeline and following established processes, you will maximize your productivity and increase your chances of meeting or exceeding sales targets.

Actual compensation for this role is based on several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, and specific work location due to differences in the cost of labor. In addition to a base salary, this role is also eligible for benefits, equity and uncapped OTE.
