Job Description

  • Sights incoming stock, materials, fuel, gas and verifies quantity and item against purchase orders
  • On confirmation that item matchs purchase order, receives physical item into the plant and signs off on delivery dockets
  • Escalates any variance to items to Team Lead for further action
  • Delivers delivery dockets to the Receiving Clerks for system verification and receipting on Oracle
  • As assigned, operates the stores service counter for issuance of items to operators and departments as required per shift
  • Per listing provided by procurement leaders, pulls stock and raw materials as required and delivers to the required area and/or internal customers
  • Consistently uses scan gun provided to move and/or receive any material within the warehouse i.e., stock and/or raw materials to ensure accuracy of records
  • Where scan gun is not available, revert to manual process to move and/or receive any material within the warehouse i.e., stock and/or raw materials to ensure accuracy of records
  • Operates forklift in a safe and efficient manner when required to load/offload containers, insert/remove stock as required
  • Maintains 7s on shelves and within the work area ensuring easy identification of stock or material location and safe retrieval of same
  • Maintains stock rotation practices, adhering to the first in first out (FIFO+FEFO) principle.
  • Facilitates physical count of all inventory for verification against system (Oracle/Scan Gun) records per annual schedule
  • Address Modula issues and assist in receiving processes to maintain a safe and efficient storage environment.
  • Escalates challenges beyond elementary capabilities to ensure prompt resolution and uninterrupted operations.
  • Maintains standard housekeeping  to ensure a clean and organised environment.
  • Handles indirect material issues, optimizing their availability for operational needs.
  • Performs administrative tasks as required including reporting for daily achievements and pending works and/or any other administrative requirements
  • Participates in organizational quality compliance, environmental, safety, philanthropic and people initiatives across the site
  • Executes administrative responsibilities

Qualifications

Minimum

  • Form 6  qualification minimum 3 years experience in related role.
  • Proficient in MS office applications
  • Valid Group 2 & 9 driving license

Preferred

  • Diploma in Inventory Management
  • Manufacturing experience in bottling or other processing environment
  • Competency in using Lean problem-solving tools
