Job DescriptionAs a Storage Administrator at Ubisoft Montréal, in Saint-Laurent, you will help maintain our global file-sharing services and data-archiving storage platforms. You’ll work with a four-person team based in Germany, China, and France, collaborating primarily online across time zones. This is a full-time role.
What you’ll do
- Maintain the stability, availability, and performance of global file-sharing services
- Respond to major incidents, coordinate troubleshooting, and help restore services within agreed timelines
- Handle user requests involving shared storage, quotas, access permissions, data migrations, and service issues
- Monitor service health and capacity and maintain storage infrastructure and hardware
- Contribute to the design, implementation, and improvement of storage solutions
- Develop and maintain automation for recurring operational tasks and standard processes
What you bring to the team
- Apply practical storage operations experience to production support, troubleshooting, and service reliability
- Collaborate across teams and time zones while organizing your work effectively
- Automate tasks using Python, Ansible, Git, PowerShell, shell scripting, and Terraform
- Administer enterprise and cloud storage, with knowledge of Ceph and, ideally, hands-on experience with Isilon or Qumulo
- Configure and maintain Windows Server, including Distributed File System (DFS), and Rocky Linux
- Use your knowledge of networking, virtualization, Active Directory, Server Message Block (SMB), Network File System (NFS), backups, and archiving
- Monitor services with Prometheus and Grafana and work with storage services on Azure and Amazon Web Services (AWS)
- Turn user needs and operational constraints into practical storage solutions, explain technical issues clearly, and work with infrastructure, security, cloud, and application teams
