What You Will Do

  • Supervise, train, and support the stewarding team in all steward functions including the cleaning, maintenance, and sanitation of china, glassware, silverware, kitchen equipment, and kitchen areas.

  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe environment across kitchens, back-of-house areas, staff dining room, storage rooms, and stewarding equipment areas.

  • Enforce strict hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards throughout all stewarding and waste disposal activities.

  • Oversee the proper operation, maintenance, and preventative care of all stewarding machinery and equipment.

  • Maintain par stock levels of china, silverware, glassware, and other back-of-house items; manage storage, inventory, and collection, washing, and restocking.

  • Control breakage, monitor usage, and inspect garbage areas to maintain cleanliness and prevent waste.

  • Support culinary and banquet operations by coordinating supply of kitchenware, assisting with setups, and ensuring smooth food service logistics.

  • Assist with department inventories and maintain records of cleaning supplies and chemical usage.

  • Ensure consistent communication and coordination with the Executive Chef, Banquet Team, and Hygiene Manager for compliance with HACCP and other food safety regulations.

  • Lead and supervise the overnight cleaning shift and cover duties in the absence of the Executive Steward or Assistant Executive Steward.

What You Will Bring

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar leadership role within a luxury five-star hotel environment.

  • Strong working knowledge of hygiene and safety protocols, including HACCP compliance.

  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English (written and spoken).

  • Hands-on approach with the ability to lead, motivate and train a diverse team.

  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
