The Steward supports kitchen operations by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work environment while assisting with basic food preparation. This role ensures all dishes, equipment, and kitchen areas meet sanitation standards and contributes to efficient culinary operations through teamwork, consistency, and adherence to established procedures.
ResponsibilitiesClean, sanitize, and maintain kitchen equipment, utensils, and work areas according to company and Health Department standards.
Prepare basic food items efficiently and accurately following approved recipes and production guidelines.
Support kitchen staff by ensuring all tools, dishes, and equipment are readily available and properly stored.
Follow all sanitation, safety, and food‑handling regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
Assist with waste removal, dishwashing, and general kitchen organization.
Maintain a positive, team‑oriented attitude and communicate effectively with culinary staff and leadership.
Perform additional duties or special assignments as required.
Two or more years of culinary or kitchen experience preferred.
High school diploma or GED preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Ability to obtain and maintain a valid state gaming license.
Strong work ethic with the ability to follow instructions and maintain consistency.
Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to stand for long periods and perform frequent bending, lifting, pushing, and pulling.
Ability to lift and move items as required for kitchen operations.
Comfort working in environments with variable temperatures, lighting, and noise levels.
Ability to safely handle kitchen tools, equipment, cleaning chemicals, and hot or wet surfaces.
Compliance with all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Skills Required
