Job Description- Operating and maintaining the dishwashing equipment efficiently and effectively.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the Kitchen, team member canteen and Storage areas to meet health and safety standards.
- Thoroughly cleaning pots, pans, and other kitchen utensils.
- Providing clean equipment to kitchen staff in a timely manner.
- Performing special cleaning tasks as assigned by supervisors and management.
- Maintaining high sanitation standards throughout the facility.
- Organizing and storing clean dishes and utensils appropriately.
- Identifying and reporting equipment malfunctions promptly.
- Assisting in inventory management of cleaning supplies.
- Handling cleaning chemicals safely and in accordance with regulations.
- Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Participating in training sessions to enhance job-related skills.
- Maintaining a clean and organized personal workspace.
- Ensuring proper waste disposal and recycling practices.
- Contributing to a positive work environment through professionalism and teamwork.
Qualifications
• High School Certificate or equivalent vocational training and full grade 12 certificate
• Must have worked at least one year experience as a Steward in luxury Safaris or 5-star hotel establishment.
• Perform duties with attention to detail, speed, accuracy and follow-through.
• Knowledge of proper chemical handling.
• Strongly committed to teamwork and customer service.
