The School of Science and Engineering at Benedict College invites applications for a full-time STEM Recruiter supporting the Resilient Autonomous Systems (RAS) Contract. This position leads undergraduate STEM recruitment and early student success initiatives for the School of Science and Engineering, building a strong pipeline of prospective students into Benedict College and supporting their transition into STEM degree programs.

The STEM Recruiter works as part of the RAS Contract team alongside the RAS Workforce Development Program Manager and the Program Director of the Master of Science in Applied Computing (MAC) program. The recruiter develops and implements recruitment strategies, builds partnerships with K–12 schools and community organizations, coordinates outreach events, and supports initiatives that strengthen student recruitment, engagement, retention, and success across the School of Science and Engineering.

Qualifications

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES

• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with prospective students, families, faculty, staff, K–12 partners, and community stakeholders.

• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, events, and deadlines.

• Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating effectively as part of a cross-functional team.

• Ability to engage and motivate prospective students from diverse backgrounds and communicate the value of STEM education and career pathways.

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn CRM systems and other recruitment technologies.

• Experience collecting, maintaining, and analyzing data to support recruitment efforts, reporting, and continuous improvement.

• Strong problem-solving skills, sound judgment, and attention to detail.

• Ability to exercise professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality when working with student information.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM field, Education, or a closely related discipline.

• 1 to 3 years of experience in admissions, recruitment, college access, or student success programming, preferably within a STEM or higher education context.

• Demonstrated success in outreach, event coordination, or student-facing program support.
