As a Steel Fitter you will fabricate, align, and assemble steel components for ship interiors, exteriors, and shipyard structures at our 63-acre waterfront facility.
Key Responsibilities
- Read and interpret blueprints and specifications
- Measure, align, fit, tack-weld, and weld steel components
- Operate fabrication tools and equipment (grinders, torches, welders, shears, cranes, hoists)
- Move and position materials safely, manually or with lifting equipment
- Inspect work for quality and troubleshoot equipment issues
- Follow all safety, quality, and company policies
Physical Requirements
- Lift, carry, push, and pull materials up to 65 lbs.
- Perform frequent climbing, kneeling, crawling, and work in confined or elevated spaces.
- Work safely in confined spaces, at heights, and in all weather conditions.
- Use hand and power tools in physically demanding positions for extended periods, including in all weather conditions.

- 3+ years of steel fitting or related experience
- Shipyard experience a plus

Skills Required
