Position Overview:

This position is responsible for Securities Licensing, Firm Element, and IAR CE Sales for Securities Training Corporation. We are seeking an experienced and energetic senior sales executive to support our new business goals on our National Accounts team. Position is responsible for new client acquisition as well as long term account management within assigned territory.

What You'll Do

  • Scheduling appointments and meeting existing customers in order to identify and qualify potential prospects and present current product offers and to send a follow up email the next day addressing outstanding/follow up questions. 
  • Effective planning to conduct sales presentations by meeting customers physically (either on site or by virtual call) on daily basis.
  • Provide professional demonstrations or presentations of Company products and services while onsite or virtually.
  • Liaising between the Company and the customers for up-to-date pricing, service, and latest product-release launches.
  • Identifying and qualifying prospective customers through research, networking, and cold-calling.
  • Complete outbound prospect calling daily. 
  • Follow-up on ALL inbound leads and marketing-sourced leads within 24 hours of receipt in CRM. 
  • Follow-up calls for current prospects including continuously updating all prospects on Company product modifications, changes, and enhancements.
  • Enhancing up-to-date knowledge on new products, procedures, services, and tools by attending departmental and training meetings.
  • Maintaining professionalism, diplomacy, sensitivity, and tact to portray the Company in a positive manner. 
  • Effectively attending conferences and trade shows, where applicable.
  • Using marketing data to maximize sales effectiveness and efficiency by using relevant sales management tools.
  • Preparing reports for sales and marketing and maintaining accurate expense accounts.
  • Updating and maintaining customer account records, including contact names and numbers for future sales.
  • Providing product quotes to customers as needed.
  • Aggressively following up on business opportunities. 
  • Regular (weekly or biweekly) 1:1 with your direct manager, and periodic pipeline updates with senior management. 

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • Minimum of a B.A./B.S. degree
  • Strong technical/software aptitude
  • 5+ years successful experience in sales and account management.
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time. 
  • Financial services sales background.
  • Experience selling and negotiating at C-level, breaking into new accounts, and proven track record against target.
  • Understanding of competitive software and technologies, and their place in the market.
  • Comfortable presenting to large audiences.
