Position - Power BI Developer

The Job & The Team :
We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) – Power BI Engineer to design, build, develop and optimize Power BI solutions to support
data-driven decision-making. This role involves creating scalable dashboards, reports, and data models while ensuring seamless integration with
enterprise data sources. The engineer collaborates with business and IT teams to deliver high-quality analytics and reporting solutions. You will
work closely with Software engineers, Architects, Data Engineers, DevOps, and security teams to create a highly available and performant
platform.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage the entire Power BI tenant within ABI
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
• Build efficient data models and optimize DAX calculations for performance
• Integrate Power BI with various data sources, including SQL databases, cloud platforms, and APIs
• Implement and enforce governance policies, licensing strategies, and role-based access controls for Power BI users
• Monitor and optimize Power BI capacity, performance, and resource utilization across the organization
• Manage Power BI Premium capacities, dataset refresh schedules, and workspace provisioning
• Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and security within Power BI reports and datasets
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver insightful analytics solutions
• Optimize report performance by managing dataset refresh schedules and query performance tuning
• Implement best practices for Power BI governance, security, and workspace management
• Stay updated with the latest Power BI features and recommend improvements to the analytics ecosystem
• Provide guidance on Power BI licensing models and cost optimization strategies
• Provide technical support and training to end-users on Power BI functionalities and best practices
• Develop and maintain the Disaster Recovery environment and conduct periodic Disaster Recovery drills
Required Skills:
• Power BI Development: Proficiency in creating interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
• DAX (Data Analysis Expressions): Strong understanding of DAX functions for complex calculations
• Power Query: Expertise in data transformation and ETL processes
• Data Modeling: Ability to design efficient and scalable data models for analytics
• SQL & Database Management: Strong skills in writing SQL queries and working with relational databases
• Power BI Service Administration: Managing workspaces, security roles, and access control
• Performance Optimization: Improving report load times, optimizing queries, and dataset management
• Data Integration: Connecting Power BI with various data sources (Azure, APIs, Excel, etc.)
• Power Automate & Power Apps: Knowledge of automation and app integration within the Power Platform
• Cloud & On-Premises Connectivity: Experience with Azure Synapse, Data Factory, and on-prem data gateways
• CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with GitHub, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or ArgoCD
• Networking & Security: Experience with cloud network, firewalls, VPNs, DNS, policy deployment and vulnerability remediations
• Disaster Recovery: Deep understanding of cloud DR concepts and high availability requirements
