Role Overview

As a Statistical Analyst in our Measurement Science team, you will contribute to ensuring the quality, representativeness, and reliability of our measurement data. You will monitor sample and data quality and support our production processes by preparing and maintaining weighting, projection, and segmentation information. Working closely with Measurement Science, Data Science, and operational teams, you will analyze and resolve quality and production issues and contribute to continuously improving our methods, processes, and workflows through automation and modern analytical and AI-assisted technologies.

Job Responsibilities

• Monitor sample and data quality to ensure the representativeness, reliability, and consistency of Circana’s measurement data.
• Prepare, validate, and maintain weighting, projection, and segmentation information required for Measurement Science production processes.
• Analyze data from multiple sources, investigate quality and production issues, and contribute to sustainable solutions.
• Assess new data sources and evaluate their impact on sample quality and measurement results.
• Use SQL, Python, automation, and AI-assisted tools to improve analysis, troubleshooting, and process efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to simplify, standardize, and automate existing methods, processes, and workflows.
• Collaborate with Measurement Science, Data Science, technology, and operational teams on projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

• University degree in mathematics, statistics, data science, computer science, economics, or another quantitative discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Working knowledge of SQL and Python for data analysis, validation, or automation.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP, and formulas.
• Understanding of relational databases, ETL processes, data integrations, or data-processing workflows.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted tools, or a strong interest in learning how to use them responsibly and effectively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and verbal and written fluency in English.
• Proactive attitude, curiosity, and willingness to learn new technologies and methods.
• Ability to work independently and within a cross-functional and multicultural team.
• Knowledge of the German retail or FMCG market is an advantage.
