We have an opportunity for you to join Samsung Electronics Australia to make a difference as our Sales Manager, Residential Channels (Air Conditioning), where you will drive growth, innovation and change in the VIC market.
In this role, you will develop and execute strategic and tactical plans (in alignment with your line manager) to achieve air conditioning sales objectives sold through all retail channels in VIC, including but not limited to Electrical Distributors, Retail, and Air Conditioning Specialists (Residential and Contractor).
You will be expected to have an understanding of the industry, market trends, and customer needs to develop effective sales strategies and achieve sales targets.

Role and Responsibilities

Sales Planning and Account Management

  • Develop sales plans and coordinate marketing strategies with clients within the context of top-line corporate strategy, with line manager approval.

  • Translate division target and segment strategy to weekly & monthly forecasts and account planning with collaborative activity in sales channel execution.

  • Responsible for Account Net sales result and managing account investment, optimizing ROI and alignment with top-line business objectives. 

  • Actively participate and negotiate terms of Samsung products in client buying meetings.

  • Manage and negotiate the account promotional plan across all media and consumer touch points, maximize ROI and alignment with product strategy and national campaigns.

  • Gather, analyse and provide actionable insights from financial/sales/market data and information. Monitor competitor activity (including pricing movements and promotions).

  • Ensure retailer product (benefit) knowledge and selling capability through planning and execution of national and account specific training schedule.

  • Set account priorities and direction for State managers and field team to ensure in store execution of retail strategy and promotional activities. Monitor channel sentiment and organizational performance and action customer and field team response.

  • Manage order cycle and credit claims submission plus processing and timely resolution.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Drive and oversee cross-functional customer engagement with Marcoms and Retail management teams. Align with line manager on planning and execution in line with account strategy and market requirement.

  • Manage the client relationship plus internal and external stake holders. Assess impact and provide recommendation for cross category and divisional engagement.

  • Develop and make recommendations to you line manager for account ranging strategy with the Product Management team.

  • Responsible for the account CPFR performance and coordination with supply chain management team to ensure optimal forecast fulfilment, channel inventory level and long term outlook and forecast.

  • Drive and recommend process improvement for sales planning, order process, claims processing and resource allocation.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Position to be based in VIC
  • Experienced professional with full understanding on specialized areas; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways
  • Works on problems of diverse scope where analyzing data requires evaluating identifiable factors. Demonstrates good judgement in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions
  • Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work and receives general instructions on new assignments
  • Typically requires minimum 5 years' of related experience and a Bachelor's degree, or 3 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD without experience
