Boeing Aerostructures Australia (BAA) is looking for a Project Manager in its Business Operations function. This is a full-time, permanent role, based 100% onsite in Port Melbourne. This role is responsible for delivering multiple Projects and cost saving initiatives across the business.
Position Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with BAA's Leadership team and functional leaders
  • Develop and maintain relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
  • Lead others and direct all phases of assigned cross-organizational or business unit projects demonstrating proficiency in all project management areas in accordance with accepted project management standards in the industry (e.g., PMI, Project Management Body of Knowledge [PMBOK], ANSI, and ISO standards)
  • Ensure assigned individuals are executing the identified and assigned tasks and providing appropriate tracking and reporting per plan
  • Develop solutions to complex problems that require ingenuity and innovation
  • Identify risk and opportunity potential, develop mitigation planning. Meet with leadership to gain approval and ensure follow up action for issue resolution
  • Lead and present status and experience in managing projects through decision gates
  • Provide in-depth analysis of project culminating with lessons learned and historical reports for incorporation into future project plans.
  • Provide assessment of team performance to appropriate management
  • Experience in mentoring and developing associate PM's

,Basic Qualifications (Required Skills / Experience):
  • Previous experience within a project management position
  • Can do attitude with ability to lead a diverse team
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including demonstrated experience in the ability to work with individuals from all functions across the business
  • Ability to understand the big picture and the inter-relationships of all positions and activities in the system, including the impact of changes in one area on another area
  • Ability to operate autonomously and capability to manage up
  • Understanding of how to accomplish tasks through formal channels and informal network; understands the cultures of organizations
  • Full, unrestricted working rights in Australia

Preferred Qualifications (Desired skills / experience):
  • Bachelor degree and/or relevant position with extensive project management experience
  • Manufacturing and/or Aerospace experience desired

Additional Information:
This is a non-EBA Position IJC WASMI3 and remuneration will be commensurate with skills and experience. The successful candidate will be required to complete pre-employment checks and a 3 month probationary period.
