Purpose of Role

As a State Net Client Manager you are responsible for managing, protecting, and growing revenue through the sale of additional State Net products and services to an existing customer within an assigned territory or portfolio of accounts. The role focuses on building trusted customer relationships, identifying growth opportunities, delivering value-based solutions, and driving customer success through a deep understanding of client needs, market trends, and State Net offerings.

The Client Manager serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers, owning the overall health of customer relationships while partnering cross-functionally with internal teams to deliver solutions that support customer goals and business growth.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and grow revenue within an assigned territory or portfolio of customer accounts by achieving or exceeding monthly and annual sales objectives

Develop and execute strategic account plans that identify revenue opportunities, customer needs, competitive positioning, and growth strategies

Identify, engage, and build relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and influencers within customer organizations

Own the customer relationship and serve as the primary contact responsible for overall customer satisfaction, engagement, retention, and account health

Build trusted partnerships with customers by understanding business priorities and aligning LexisNexis products, services, and content to customer needs

Demonstrate strong knowledge of LexisNexis products, content, solutions, and market offerings, including the ability to articulate value propositions and competitive differentiators

Identify opportunities for account expansion and increased adoption of services

Lead contract negotiations and renewals, ensuring alignment between customer objectives and business goals

Partner with internal teams including Product, Marketing, Customer Success, and other business stakeholders to address customer needs and deliver solutions

Provide customer insights and feedback to internal teams regarding product enhancements, content needs, market trends, and customer experience opportunities

Maintain accurate account information, sales activity, forecasts, and customer relationship updates

Participate in customer meetings, presentations, and strategic discussions with executive-level stakeholders

Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or 5+ years of proven sales experience, preferably in a business-to-business environment

Demonstrated success achieving sales goals, managing accounts, and growing revenue

Experience negotiating contracts, closing business, and managing complex customer relationships

Proven ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans

Strong understanding of consultative selling practices and customer relationship management

Skills and Competencies

Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to executive-level audiences

Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to influence internal and external stakeholders

Ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams to achieve shared goals

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to identify customer needs and develop solutions

Ability to manage multiple priorities, customer relationships, and sales opportunities simultaneously

Working Conditions

Full-time position with customer-facing responsibilities

Ability to travel as needed for customer meetings, business development activities, and strategic engagements

May require collaboration across multiple teams and business functions

 

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Home based-Ohio $74,900 - $124,700. This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
