Department Summary
Our Wireless Technology organization is transforming the future of connectivity. We're doing it by building the country's first virtualized, standalone 5G wireless network from scratch. Job Duties and Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Work with a team to evolve Dish's Hybrid Cloud Network and address virtualization needs
- Define and guide the evolution of Dish's Cloud Native Open RAN and 5G Core Cloud infrastructure
- Influence product roadmaps of vendors like DELL, Intel, AWS, and Broadcom based on industry trends
- Collaborate with various vendors to develop and optimize Dish's hybrid cloud hosting
- Drive RAN, 5G Core, and cloud vendors to adopt cloud-native practices and concepts
- Contribute to developing industry standards for automating orchestration and life cycle management of CNFs
Skills, Experience and Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- BS in Engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience and education.
- 8+ years of experience
- Proficient in private (VMware, RedHat) and public (AWS, Google) cloud platforms.
- Skilled in Docker, Kubernetes, and VMware TKG, with WindRiver experience as a plus.
- Strong Linux administration background.
- Knowledgeable in Nephio, ETSI NFV frameworks, and DevOps/CICD processes.
- Experienced in onboarding and lifecycle management of VNFs and CNFs.
- Background in Telco product development, with expertise in RAN and 5G Core domains.
Salary Ranges
Compensation: $100,100.00/Year - $180,900.00/Year
