As a member of the Power IT PMO organization you will you will provide critical support to the IT leadership team by assisting in the coordination, financial management, and execution of large-scale technology programs. In this role, you will contribute to the successful delivery of key strategic projects, helping to optimize costs, manage vendor relationships, and drive continuous process improvements. This is an opportunity to gain hands-on experience with enterprise-level IT portfolio management and to contribute directly to the organization's strategic vision.

What you’ll do  

  • Strategic Alignment: Learn and support enablement of the IT leader's strategic roadmap by actively engaging with research, data analysis, and documentation. Contribute with preparation of materials for CIO partnerships and other strategic discussions. 
  • Drive tool & process simplification: By investing time to become a knowledge expert on the tools, processes, customers and desired outcomes in this space, and then applying  innovation and expertise to provide impactful solutions. 
  • Collaborate cross-functionally, working with a variety of teams to identify and prioritize ways in which PMO tools and processes can support our internal processes, and our stakeholders, in more efficient and effective ways 
  • Portfolio Level Program Reporting:  Build process to automate / simplify inputs to the Capital Allocation Framework, and monthly PMO contributions to L1 and L2 MOR (Management Operating Review) rhythmsAutomate the process to track delivery of critical milestones and impact to project end dates, through connection with ADO, JIRA, etc. This will increase and lean organization-level program management capabilities by supporting accurate, on-time KPI reporting while reducing impact to program managers.
  • Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Gather and analyze data on program performance, track key metrics, and assist in the preparation of reports for IT leadership and CIOs. Assess, prioritize and execute on opportunities to lean and automate this area. Output will be reliable, digestible data that provides insights for meaningful, objective assessment of program health and areas for improvement. 
  • Support optimization and lean of additional aspects of the OCIO-PMO space, as applicable
  • Program Efficiency:  Develop process to measure efficiency of our development teams, and then develop standard work to help achieve targeted throughput time.

Desired Qualifications

  • Passion for solving problems through application of standard work and lean principles
  • Ability to understand, process, and interpret data to extract insights and communicate findings effectively to support business decisions
  • Exhibits the drive and curiosity to establish oneself as an AI ambassador, and to pursue innovation in the PMO space, through application of AI
  • Technical aptitude and hands-on experience with Smartsheet or similar business productivity tools (e.g. building and linking complex Smartsheets)
  • Technical aptitude and hands-on experience with Power BI or similar tools
  • Understanding and experience supporting metric reporting (MOR) cycles is a plus
  • Works well in a team environment and is self-motivated, responsible, proactive, and reliable
  • Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • High level of attention to detail

    What you’ll bring (Basic Qualifications) 

    • Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent experience/knowledge.

    • Experience: Experience in an IT, business analysis, or project support role.
