Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Responsible for software verification for CT products. This includes to drive quality, safety, reliability for software sub-system. Manages software requirements flow down. Drives end to end software verification activities for the overall product.

  • Utilizes in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline and analytical thinking and technical experience to execute impact analysis, safety, quality and performance requirements. 

  • You must demonstrate clear strategic thinking, a strong capability to work cross-functionally across organizations to driving V&V and Reliability activity. 

  • Responsible for developing and improving Verification protocols, documentation, and testing.

  • Identify, recommend, strategize and lead the implementation of various testing techniques, test automation processes and tools, that will optimize and improve the quality of testing across the test pyramid and in line with DevOps strategies.

  • Develop, implement, and continuously improves process effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Ensures process efficiency and compliance effectiveness through the development and implementation of verification plans.

  • Own the Defect management process covering strategy, tracking & resolution.

  • Responsible for the software verification strategy, planning, execution, documentation, including continuous improvements. 

  • Own procedures, reports, and other documentation as per GEHC Quality Management system requirements. 

  • Make technology choices at individual level and analyze impact

  • Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

  • Integrate project testing with continuous-integration process

  • Provide expertise in the quality engineering, test planning and testing methodology for a software project

  • Develop and executes maintainable automation tests for acceptance, functional, and regression test cases

Education Qualification:

  • Bachelor' s Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with advanced experience.

Desired Characteristics/Technical Expertise:

  • Industry experience of 8+ years in the Software V&V role, preferably with a Software as a Medical Device (SaMD) discipline.

  • Has extensive experience in test automation.

  • Prove experience of 5+ yrs. in Test Automation Leadership role.

  • Proven Experience in executing and leading testing in BDD-Behaviour Driven Development paradigm.

  • Thorough understanding of modern DevOps, including CI, CD and CT, preferably in containerized deployment scenario.

  • Expertise with Testing lifecycle and core testing process/techniques using different test approaches.

  • Experience related to software design for reliability, setting and demonstrating reliability targets in software.

  • Expertise in Continuous Integration /Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) process embracing test automation. Experience of using Jenkins and/or GitLab CI ecosystem and Git source code control system is highly desirable.

  • Good knowledge of applying Test Case Design Techniques to optimize test coverage.

  • Excellent knowledge with test execution estimates, design test plans & strategy, writing test scenarios, cases, executing test cases and defect lifecycle handling.

  • Knowledge of API test automation, Squish, Selenium, is highly desirable.

  • Experience in writing high quality, readable, reusable, testable code.

  • Experience with Agile Development environment. Good understanding of the concept of Behaviour Driven Development.

  • Has experience working in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.

  • Has experience working with virtual machines (VMs) as part of a test/integration infrastructure

• Identifies misalignments with goals, objectives, and work direction against the organizational strategy. Makes suggestions to course correct
• Continuously measures deliverables of self and team against scheduled commitments. Effectively balances different, competing objectives
