About the role
We are seeking a talented Staff Software Engineer to join our dynamic data engineering Team. We are in search of individuals who have extensive experience in large scale data systems. In this role, you'll be instrumental in owning these systems, designing, developing and setting the vision of offline and online computing. Your work will have a major impact on several areas of the business.
Responsibilities:
- Own, lead and set the vision for one or more large scale offline and online compute systems
- Work with data engineers, data scientists, ML engineers and software engineers from other orgs to understand their requirements, build solutions and enforce best practices
- Innovate how ETLs, online, and offline compute should work.
- Set high standards, mentor and coach other engineers on the team
Minimum requirement:
7+ years of experience building and developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks. Have streaming compute experience.
(large-scale: Hundred to thousand of servers, QPS 10k to million, data volume or table size of TB (terabytes) to PB (petabytes) )
Preferred experience: Working with open source systems like Hive, Spark, Presto, Flink.
