G&A Staff Software Development Engineer- Design and lead architecture for enterprise-scale applications and integrations.
- Partner closely with enterprise and G&A architecture teams to ensure technical and strategic alignment.
- Collaborate with product owners and managers to understand requested capabilities and translate them into architectural and technical designs.
- Guide technical leads and engineers across multiple projects and workstreams.
- Serve as the senior architect for major initiatives, including key clinical programs.
- Provide architectural oversight and hands-on support throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- 20+ years of experience in software engineering and architecture roles (Technical Lead, Solution Architect, Enterprise Architect).
- Strong proficiency in Java, Python, Spring Boot, and modern front-end frameworks (React, Angular).
- Deep understanding of non-functional requirements (SLAs, latency, real-time/near–real-time processing, multithreading) with the ability to design systems that meet them.
- 5+ years of full-stack development experience.
- 5+ years of experience with SQL, NoSQL, Redis, and related database technologies.
- 5+ years of experience with cloud platforms (GCP/AWS/Azure), microservices architecture, and API design.
- Familiarity with DevOps ecosystems including Kubernetes, Jenkins, Octopus, Docker, and Git, as well as messaging systems like Kafka.
- Experience or exposure to AI/ML technologies, including Generative AI and Large Language Models.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations effectively.
- Experience in the healthcare domain.
- Hands-on full‑stack development background.
- Experience collaborating with distributed teams across multiple time zones.
Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$118,450.00 - $284,280.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
