About the Role
We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Test to develop and maintain frameworks and tools that empower our developers to write automated tests for web, iOS, Android, and API platforms. You will play a key role in shaping our test automation strategy, driving quality across multiple teams, and ensuring scalable, maintainable, and efficient test practices.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain automation frameworks for web, mobile (iOS/Android), API testing, and integration testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure comprehensive test coverage
- Lead the development of tools that support automated testing across multiple platforms
- Coordinate test scenario creation/execution (manual and automated)
- Mentor junior engineers and advocate for best practices in automation and testing
- Support CI/CD pipelines and ensure smooth integration with test automation
Ideal Background
- 7+ years of experience in automation engineering, with expertise in building automation tools and frameworks
- Proficient in Python, JavaScript, TypeScript
- Strong experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Appium, Playwright)
- Expertise in test case design, execution, and defect tracking tools like JIRA and TestRail
- Experience with test case definition languages like Gherkin
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Github Actions), version control (e.g., Git), and containerization (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Familiarity with mobile and web development platforms, such as SwiftUI, React, and Next.js
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on testability and critical thinking
