Department Introduction
The Front End Process and Cost Transformation (PROCT) team drives manufacturing performance by improving cost, productivity, operational efficiency, and process capability across Micron's semiconductor fabrication network. The team partners closely with engineering, manufacturing, and business leaders to deliver pivotal initiatives that accelerate performance, optimize resources, and support Micron's business objectives!
Position Overview
As a Fab PROCT FE Engineer, you will lead initiatives that improve manufacturing cost, maximize factory performance, and drive business process improvements across Front End operations. You will partner with multi-functional teams to find opportunities, solve complex operational challenges, and implement data-driven solutions that improve productivity, quality, and operational efficiency. This role combines program leadership, technical expertise, and strategic execution to deliver measurable business impact.
Responsibilities
  • Lead initiatives that support Front End cost reduction, productivity improvement, and factory output optimization goals
  • Develop and execute multi-functional programs aligned with manufacturing and corporate business objectives
  • Define project scope, objectives, timelines, deliverables, and resource requirements in collaboration with key stakeholders
  • Establish program structures, manage dependencies, and track achievements to ensure successful execution
  • Drive achievement of Integrated Performance Plan (IPP) goals through effective program management and customer alignment
  • Identify risks, resolve roadblocks, and implement mitigation plans to maintain program momentum and business results
  • Develop and improve business processes, methodologies, reporting tools, and operational frameworks
  • Provide domain expertise and strategic guidance to support program success across manufacturing organizations
  • Partner with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams to identify opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Leverage data analytics, AI tools, automation, and digital solutions to improve productivity and program effectiveness
  • Communicate program priorities, progress, risks, and results to senior leaders, site teams, and key stakeholders
  • Facilitate regular reviews and discussions to ensure alignment, accountability, and successful delivery of business objectives

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related technical field, or equivalent proven experience
  • 4 plus years experience in semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, operations, or program management
  • Understanding of Front End semiconductor manufacturing processes and business operations with strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
  • Experience leading or coordinating multi-functional initiatives and getting results through teamwork
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and deliver results in a dynamic environment
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting tools, or business process improvement frameworks

Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Business, or a related field
  • 6 plus years experience leading cost reduction, productivity improvement, or operational excellence initiatives
  • Knowledge of data analytics, programming, automation tools, or AI-enabled solutions
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting tools, or business process improvement frameworks
  • Strong project and program management skills with experience driving complex initiatives across multiple organizations
  • Experience measuring and improving team or program effectiveness through defined performance metrics
  • Experience and/or interest in developing Agentic AI workflows into current or future processes.
