Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) is a business division within the Mobility Solutions business sector of the Bosch Group. The division unites software, electrical and electronics engineers from the areas of driver assistance, automated driving, car multimedia, powertrain, and body electronics in a new unit. XC plays a leading role in shaping the dynamic shift toward ever more digitalization in the vehicle.
The Research and Development team in Penang location is the center of global engineering or this business division. Bosch Cross-Domain Computing Solutions (XC) is divided into five sections:
- Engineering Software and System Test
- Project Management
- Project management and engineering support for small control units (xCU)
- Engineering Hardware and Mechanics
- Product data management, resource management and central services
Job Description
- Select the appropriate algorithm/concept and develop it further to tackle an unresolved problem based on their refined knowledge in their respective field
- Drive the implementation of new technical (developer) concepts within their team
- Apply basic implementation strategies to successfully resolve difficult problems
- Take responsibility for a broad range of SW engineering tasks such as requirement engineering or deriving a suitable architecture
- Actively look for opportunities to increase the quality of their own or team mates' deliverables
- Successfully investigate the root cause of observed problems (also beyond the scope of their responsibility) and contribute to fixing them / preventing their future occurrence
- Self-responsibly align their contributions to a larger feature with colleagues from other teams (developer)
- Properly communicate with both internal stakeholders and external customers (e.g. OEMs) to answer technical questions, resolve issues, or support acquisitions
- Spread their knowledge by appropriate means (e.g. formal trainings, training on the job, reviews & sparring)
- Mentor and supports their fresh graduate colleagues to master technical challenges
- Any other duties as assigned from time to time to accomplish related results as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or Computer Engineering.
- Proven working experience in embedded software engineering.
- Experience in hands-on development and troubleshooting on embedded targets.
- Experience with one or more architectures using different microcontrollers with real-time constraints is a plus.
- Solid programming experience in C or object oriented programming.
- Adequate knowledge of reading schematics and data sheets for components.
- Good oral / written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Able to integrate and to work in a team.
