We are seeking a Staff Revenue Accountant to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity based out of our Waltham, MA office.
Job Summary
As a member of the Revenue Team, you will assist in the processing of revenue-related activities including invoicing, revenue close support and reconciliations for revenue-related balance sheet accounts and revenue accounts. The Staff Revenue Accountant position will primarily provide support to the Sr. Revenue Accounting Manager in carrying out the responsibilities of the Global Revenue Team. This position requires solid skills in financial accounting, reporting, audit, and compliance and the ability to work in a diverse, fast-paced technology environment.
Duties and Responsibilities

  • Process high volume of customer invoices out of the Salesforce Billing system
  • Identify, investigate, manage, and resolve all invoice related inquiries
  • Perform month-end closing activities including analysis, journals, and reconciliations that relate to A/R and deferred revenue
  • Interact with sales, renewals, finance, accounts receivable, and order management to ensure identification and documentation of all invoicing related matters
  • Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and year end close information and respond to all audit requests related to invoicing
  • Aid and assist in the integration of accounts receivable and billing activities for future acquisitions
  • Basic working knowledge of revenue recognition accounting


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance
  • Experience with Salesforce required
  • Minimum 0-3 years of invoicing and revenue management space experience
  • Knowledge and experience of software revenue recognition (ASC 606) a plus
  • Knowledge of order processing a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines within a high-volume environment
  • MS Excel skills required
  • Extremely detail oriented, problem solver, and takes accountability and ownership for work performed
  • Professional self-starter, able to work independently, and has strong interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with others
  • Willingness to take on more responsibilities as needed
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, exercise discretion, and personal judgment
  • Experience with ERP systems required, NetSuite a plus


This position offers a total compensation range of $86,800.00 to $96,800.00 (inclusive of base salary and variable compensation, such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata's benefit offerings can be found here. This range represents the high and low end of Imprivata's compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors, such as a candidate's location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
