Must be able to work closely with design engineers, marketing, and other test engineers. It is important for the candidate to be able to understand feature requirements and translate to test cases and test automation. This position requires the ability to quickly and effectively execute testing assignments:
Experience: 8-15 Years
Strong data networking concepts:
• Working Knowledge of L2 protocols- (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq, 802.3ah, 802.1ag/Y.1731 (Ethernet OAM/CFM))
• Working Knowledge of Layer-3 Protocols - IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, IS-IS, BGP4, IGMP, PIM-SM/SSM
• Exposure to VxLAN, L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS) and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) technologies
• Strong Knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies.
• Experience in performance and throughput testing
• Experience in working with test tools like Ixia, Smartbits, STC and packet sniffers.
• Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Tcl and Tk.
• Experience with Rational ClearQuest or other bug tracking tools
• Experience in test case management tools like Quality Center
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
