The Role
Job Description:
Experience: 8-12 Years
Must be able to demonstrate strong proficiency in testing one or more of the following areas:
• IPv4 and IPv6 routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VRRP, PIM, MPLS, RSVP, etc.
• Security Testing, IPSEC ,VPN, Firewall Testing
• Kubernate, Docket will be added and have multiple positions.
• Layer 2 protocols such as Spanning Tree, Rapid Spanning Tree (RSTP) 802.1w, VLANs, LACP, VSRP, etc
• Experience in performing platform qualification tests on new products.
• Good experience in Python or equivalent scripting language is an added advantage.
• In this role Test engineer will be asked to evaluate/develop new test tools , analyze third party vendors and technologies
• Strong python programming and automation experience is a requirement.
• Exposure to system test automation is highly desired.
• Must be able to work closely with design engineers, marketing, and other test engineers. It is important for the candidate to be able to understand feature requirements and translate to test cases and test automation.
This position requires the ability to quickly and effectively execute testing assignments:
• Strong data networking concepts.
• Working Knowledge of L2 protocols (STP/MSTP/RSTP, 802.1q/ad/aq, 802.3ah, 802.1ag/Y.1731 (Ethernet OAM/CFM))
• Working Knowledge of Layer3 Protocols – IPv4/IPv6, OSPFv2/v3, ISIS, BGP4, IGMP, PIMSM/SSM
• Exposure to VxLAN, L2VPN (Pseudowire, VPLS) and L3VPN (BGP/MPLS VPN) technologies
• Strong Knowledge of product verification methodologies and strategies.
• Experience in performance and throughput testing
• Experience in working with test tools like Ixia, Smartbits, STC and packet sniffers.
• Experience in scripting languages like Perl, Tcl and Tk.
• Experience in test case management tools like qTest
• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills
