Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for Staff Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals.
This position is on a 9/80 work schedule will be located 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Essential Functions:
Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between program management and planning, project team, and line management. Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports. Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and client-satisfaction goals and objectives. Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, line managers, and clients.
Responsibilities for this position include (but are not limited to):
- Apply technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques related to Logistics disciplines to include Product Support, Maintenance/Engineering Processes and Technical Documentation use and development
- Lead projects related to qualification of new material(s) and/or supplies focusing on having the right spares and supplies available in support
- Lead additional CLS C-ICP efforts related to reconstitution of manufacture production resolutions to meet productivity, quality and customer satisfaction goals and objectives
- Develop BOE in support of ongoing proposal efforts within the CLS C-ICP business area
- Ability to formulate strategic recommendations for interim, short-term, and long-term solutions to address immediate and anticipated supply chain challenges.
- Conduct supplier surveillance, schedule and conduct technical reviews of C-ICP managed parts at supplier facilities and supplier proposals, generate data-driven charts for management and Integrated Product Team (IPT) use, supporting funding requests for upgrades, repairs, consolidation, or replacement.
- Effective multitasking, advanced oral and written communication skills, and a high level of motivation to resolve complex technical problems in a fast-paced environment.
- Interfaces with internal functional and program organizations, and works closely with external customers
- Candidates must demonstrate strong organizational skills, adaptability to rapidly evolving requirements, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.
- Identify risks, issues, and opportunities promptly to maintain project momentum
- Preparation of status reports and presentations for NGC internal and Customer meetings
- Must be willing to travel 25%
Basic Qualifications:
- Must have Bachelor's with 12 years experience, Master's with 10 years experience, PhD with 8 years of experience or in lieu of degree with 16 years of experience in one or more of the following: project/program management, procurement, subcontracts or supplier management
- Must have ACTIVE U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Special Program Access (PAR) within a reasonable amount of time deemed by company needs
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite; the ability to create, manage, and manipulate the tools, especially PowerPoint, Word, and Excel
- Knowledge of Project Management principles and experience utilizing them professionally
Preferred Qualifications:
Possess knowledge of B-2 maintenance/sustainment activity
Current/previous B-2 Program Security Clearance
Experience in using Team Center Enterprise, Engineering Logistics Management System (ELMA) and Engineering Source Data
Experience in proposal management or project management within aerospace, defense, or a similar highly regulated industry
Demonstrated experience supporting or leading proposal efforts, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of cross-functional teams
Experience working with Basis of Estimate (BOE)
Experience with development and/or management of Statements of Work (SOW), requirements, or contractual deliverables
Prior experience with cross-functional organizations (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Business Management)
Experience in Project management, Program Integration/Execution
Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail and follow-through
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including experience presenting to leadership or key stakeholders
Prior experience coordinating across functions such as Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and Business Management.
