STAFF PRODUCT OWNER, Cost Solutions, Smart Manufacturing & AI,
Main Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Director - SMAI, you will play a pivotal role as a cost transformation Product Owner in driving AI-enabled cost reduction and improvement initiatives across procurement and manufacturing functions. You will partner with I4.0 Managers, Analysts & Data Scientists. You will own the product backlog and roadmap for AI-enabled cost solutions, contributing to the design, analysis, and delivery of cost improvement ideas that embed opportunity identification, value capture and workflow optimisation into everyday ways of working. You will help shape and deliver a portfolio of AI & Generative AI use cases - spanning spend and commodity intelligence, supplier intelligence and contract analytics - that surface savings opportunities and translate them into quantified, measurable value. You will work closely with data scientists, engineers and business partners to define requirements, prioritise features and ensure solutions deliver positive impact, applying industry-leading methodologies in AI, analytics and automation to improve Micron's business processes.
Other Responsibilities:
Procurement & Cost Strategy • Support coordinated smart manufacturing solutions across Engineering, Procurement, and Manufacturing with a focus on cost optimisation.• Ensure all cost transformation efforts are strategically aligned and contribute measurable impact to overall financial performance.
Cost Optimisation & Value Capture • Identify cost reduction opportunities using AI-enabled tools and advanced analytics.• Translate opportunities into actionable initiatives with a clear savings and efficiency roadmap.• Establish rigorous before/after measurement frameworks covering cost, cycle time, and productivity.
Execution of Cost Transformation • Drive delivery of cost transformation initiatives to achieve timely and sustainable benefits.• Collaborate across business units to ensure alignment and effective execution of cost-saving measures.
AI & Advanced Analytics Enablement • Apply AI and advanced analytics to assess cost structures and optimise procurement and operational workflows across both cash cost and capital spend.• Work alongside business leaders to support the enterprise Procurement & Cost AI roadmap.• Help pilot and scale AI and Generative AI use cases, embedding them into category managers' and analysts' daily workflows.
Stakeholder Engagement & Communication • Communicate complex strategies and insights effectively to stakeholders at all levels, ensuring clarity and alignment.
You Are:
o At least 5-10 years of work experience in Cost projects and Cost initiatives within Operations/Procurement functions
o Familiar with processes, systems and solutions preferably in the semiconductor industry
o Excellent interpersonal skills with demonstrable ability to effectively lead and present to small and large groups
o Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
o Proven ability to work multi-functionally with peers, senior and mid-level management
o Peer leadership and relationship management skills
o Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
o Highly organized and ability to remain flexible to the changing business needs
o Hands-on experience building and deploying AI / Generative AI and advanced analytics use cases for cost and procurement - spanning opportunity identification, value capture and workflow optimisation - with measurable dollar and efficiency impact.
