At NerdWallet, our mission is to bring clarity to all of life’s financial decisions so people can move forward with confidence. We’re building a team of exceptional Nerds in an inclusive, flexible, and candid culture where you’re encouraged to grow, take smart risks, and be yourself. Whether you work remotely or in an office, we support how you thrive and invest in your well-being, development, and impact.
NerdWallet’s Native App team is at an inflection point. We’re evolving from a traditional product development model to a fully AI-native workflow — shifting from writing to building for product definition, and from human-written code to AI-generated code for deployment and testing. We’re looking for a Staff PM who can help drive that transformation while also shipping products that deepen how millions of users connect with their financial lives.
A great Staff Product Manager elevates the clarity, ambition, and impact of the work, owning the product’s long-term success rather than simply delivering on a roadmap. In this role, you will define a long-term vision, shape product strategy, and partner across engineering, design, data, compliance, and external financial partners to deliver trusted and scalable financial experiences. You will operate with a high degree of ownership, navigating complexity and ambiguity to drive meaningful outcomes for both consumers and the business.
We are especially interested in people who are curious, adaptable, and motivated to solve complex problems. If you have built impactful products, worked in regulated or high-stakes environments, and are passionate about improving financial outcomes for consumers, we encourage you to apply.
This role reports to the VP, Product and Design.
Help shape the next generation of smart financial tools at NerdWallet. Define and evolve a multi-year vision for how people get value from NerdWallet by connecting accounts, analyzing and monitoring their data, and making smart and timely recommendations to drive positive outcomes in a customer’s financial life.
Turn ambiguity into clear, impactful products. Identify high-impact opportunities, translate them into actionable product strategies, and guide teams from discovery through launch and iteration.
Deliver meaningful customer and business outcomes. Use data, experimentation, and customer insights to improve activation, engagement, retention, and long-term value, while maintaining a strong focus on trust.
Build and scale reliable financial systems. Partner with engineering, compliance, risk, and operations teams to develop secure, scalable, and compliant account capabilities.
Collaborate across teams and partners. Work closely with internal stakeholders and external financial partners to navigate tradeoffs across speed, reliability, and risk.
Raise the bar for product thinking and execution. Mentor and influence product managers and cross-functional partners, helping teams make stronger decisions and deliver higher-quality outcomes.
Use AI to drive smarter, more personalized experiences. Leverage AI thoughtfully to improve team efficiency at scale and enhance consumer personalization, recommendations, and decision-making.
10+ years of experience leading complex, cross-functional product initiatives and driving them from concept to measurable impact
Ability to define product vision and strategy, and connect it to execution through clear priorities and outcomes
Strong decision-making skills in ambiguous or constraint-heavy environments (such as regulated industries or large-scale systems)
Experience building or contributing to financial products, platforms, or systems involving money movement, accounts, or similar capabilities
Comfort working across disciplines, including engineering, design, data, and business teams
Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex ideas clearly and bring others along
Analytical thinking and a data-informed approach to product decisions, including experimentation and performance tracking
A sense of ownership and accountability for outcomes, paired with resilience and adaptability
This role will be remote (based in the U.S.).
We believe great work can be done anywhere. No matter where you are based, NerdWallet offers benefits and perks to support the physical, financial, and emotional well being of you and your family.
