We help brands and their agencies deliver more relevant ads to audiences everywhere, across devices.
The Role
The Staff Product Manager will lead AI product strategy, roadmap, and execution, focusing on agentic systems and LLM-powered workflows to enhance user interactions with AI on the platform.
Summary Generated by Built In

The Trade Desk is a global technology company and the world’s leading independent platform for digital advertising, with nearly 4,000 employees across more than 30 offices. Our technology helps advertisers reach the right audiences across the open internet — from streaming TV and podcasts to mobile apps, news, and more.
Advertising powers the content people love. By making it more transparent, effective, and responsible, we help support trusted journalism, quality entertainment, and creators worldwide. The world’s brands and agencies rely on us to reach their customers and grow their businesses responsibly.
The scale of our platform brings unique technical challenges — from processing massive datasets in real time to building systems that operate reliably on a global scale. When you work here, your impact is worldwide. We welcome diverse perspectives, encourage curiosity, and build teams that learn from one another. If you’re driven to solve meaningful challenges, we’d love to meet you.

Who We Are Looking For

We are looking for a driven Staff-level Product Manager to help shape the future of AI on our platform. The ideal candidate combines strong product instincts with the ability to build in a
rapidly evolving space — agentic systems, LLM-powered workflows, and non-deterministic UX.  They are technical, data-driven, and pragmatic about the tradeoffs that come with shipping AI
products at scale. They are the kind of PM who is fearless and intellectually honest, willing to make big bets, and equally willing to kill ideas that aren’t working. We are committed to helping
you grow, challenging you with hard, meaningful work, and celebrating our successes and failures together. AI moves fast — we take risks, learn from them, and iterate quickly.

What You Will Be Doing

As a product manager on the Agentic AI program, you will own strategy, roadmap, and execution for a critical slice of our AI investment — spanning the in-platform chatbot, the agent
ecosystem (Help, Search, Insights, Troubleshooting, Campaign Creation, Audience Builder, and more), and our MCP server enabling third-party agentic workflows. The program’s north star is
to move our users from managing hundreds of campaigns to orchestrating a small set of specialized agents — and your work will directly shape how traders, agencies, and partners
interact with AI on the platform.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Owning the strategy, roadmap, and execution for your area within the Agentic AI program.
• Writing detailed PRDs that clearly articulate the ‘why’ behind the problem, the proposed solution, and the tradeoffs in scope.
• Partnering with Engineering, Data Science, Design, Legal, and Business teams to align on direction and ship.
• Working closely with applied AI and platform teams on the realities of LLM behavior: evals, latency, accuracy, action resolution, hallucinations, and human-in-the-loop design.
• Gathering requirements from internal teams (Trading, Client Services) and external clients participating in alpha and beta programs, then translating them into prioritized releases.
• Defining and tracking the leading and lagging KPIs that tell us whether the AI is actually saving users time and earning their trust.

What You Bring To The Table

• 7+ years of Product Management experience, with a sustained track record of shipping complex, technical products at scale.
• Direct experience building with LLMs, agents, or other AI/ML systems in a production environment — or a demonstrated ability to ramp on these quickly.
• Strong intuition for non-deterministic product design: how to spec, test, and evaluate systems that don’t behave the same way twice.
• Excellent communication and writing skills — you can take a fuzzy strategic problem and turn it into a tight, well-argued spec.
• Ability to solve complex, technical problems with creative, practical, scalable solutions while managing tradeoffs.
• Durability and grit — AI products require many iterations, especially as dependencies and underlying models evolve.
• Bias for action and an entrepreneurial mindset — you use data-based arguments to convince others and generate meaningful progress.
• Experience working with distributed, cross-functional teams.
• Experience in adtech, demand-side platforms, or programmatic advertising is a strong plus but not required.
