The Opportunity

Superhuman Go is a proactive agent that helps people get work done. With Go, people can express their goals in natural language and work alongside agents that help turn that intent into real progress over time. As Superhuman grows into an AI-native productivity suite across Docs, Mail, and more, Go is the layer that helps people move from intention to execution—advancing ideas, producing useful outputs, and keeping momentum without constantly switching tools or contexts.

Go’s superpower is that it works wherever people already work. It can be used on its own, inside Superhuman products, on desktop, or anywhere on the web. The Core team owns Go across all of these surfaces, making sure the experience feels consistent, capable, and reliable no matter where people use it.

As a Staff Product Designer on the Core team, you’ll help design how people work with agents in practice. You’ll shape how agentic work gets started, how it progresses over time, and how people stay oriented as the system helps move things forward. This is a highly leveraged role that sets the interaction model, quality bar, and long-term direction for Go, with a direct impact on how our users feel using Superhuman day to day.

In this role, you will:
  • End-to-end ownership: Own the design of Go, shaping how users express intent, collaborate with agents, and move work forward using natural language across standalone and embedded surfaces.

  • Core interactions & quality: Design and evolve core chat and agent experiences, holding a high bar for simplicity, clarity, and power across desktop, web, and in-product surfaces.

  • Design AI-native experiences: Define how Go helps users move from intent to outcomes, including making agent behavior clear and understandable so people know what the system is doing and why.

  • Prototyping as thinking: Use interactive, high-fidelity prototypes to explore new interaction models, motion, and AI behaviors, treating prototyping as a core part of how ideas take shape.

  • Design craft: Deliver polished interfaces, thoughtful micro-interactions, and animation that make advanced AI behavior feel intuitive, responsive, and alive.

  • Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Research, and Content to shape direction, pressure-test ideas, and focus the team on foundational experiences that unlock meaningful user value.

Qualifications
  • 7+ years of product design experience, with a strong track record of owning complex, ambiguous problems end to end.

  • Hands-on experience designing AI-native products, especially products that involve natural language interaction or multi-step work.

  • Strong interaction and visual design skills, with clear evidence of craft across layout, motion, micro-interactions, and polish.

  • Excellence in using prototyping as a way of thinking, communicating ideas, and bringing interactions to life.

  • Experience prototyping or building with modern AI-assisted tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, Figma Make, or similar.

  • Deep curiosity about AI as a field, including hands-on exploration of new products, awareness of industry trends, and regular experimentation with emerging tools.

  • Ability to operate at a Staff level by setting direction, influencing strategy, and raising the quality bar across teams.

  • Ability to work independently, manage priorities across multiple efforts, collaborate effectively with partners, and stay effective in fast-moving environments.
