The Opportunity That Awaits You:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Staff/Principal Data Platform & Analytics Engineer to build cloud data and analytics platform at PROCEPT BioRobotics. This is a critical role that will enhance and expand data platform and analytics for the organization.
Reporting directly to the director of software engineering, this experienced individual will propose the enhancement to the current data architecture and pipelines and lead the implementations of the solutions. The successful candidate will work closely with engineering, product and corporate IT teams to deliver the solutions to accelerate the insight (fleet reliability, site utilization, product telemetry).
What Your Day-To-Day Will Involve:
- Design and enhance the architecture for cloud platform, data pipelines, ETL workflows, including Snowflake integrations, event-driven streaming using EventBridge, and schema management.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to build robust workflows to deploy the software packages and collect large volume data to/from deployed devices in both production and QA environments.
- Lead the development of data analytics platform to accelerate the insights of fleet reliability, site utilization.
- Define the technical direction for scalability, security, observability and maintenance of our products and data platforms.
- Enhance the dataflow and integration with data observability platforms.
- Take concepts and create prototypes and propose best usability, workflow, and features.
The Qualifications We Need You to Possess
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- 8 or more years of experience of Analytics Engineer / Data Engineer
- 8 or more years of experience with database management, including SQL and NoSQL databases
- 8 or more years of experience with Snowflake performance tuning, dbt best practices, dimensional modeling/star schemas
- 8 or more years of experience working with ETL on AWS
- 8 or more years of experience working with data quality, lineage/catalog , and SLA design
- 8 or more years of experience of Python

For this role, the anticipated base pay range is $192,000-$230,000 a year.

PAY RANGE TRANSPARENCY
Procept is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range(s) for this role represents a base salary range for non-commissionable roles or on-target earnings for commissionable roles. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to job-related skills, depth of experience, relevant certifications and training, and specific work location. Based on the factors above, Procept utilizes the full width of the range. The total compensation package for this position may also include eligibility for annual performance bonus, equity, and the benefits listed above.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
We’ll provide you training for, and ask you to maintain trained status for, and comply with, all relevant aspects of the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality Management System to ensure product and support regulatory compliance. We would also ask you to understand and adhere to the PROCEPT BioRobotics Quality & EHS policies.
