About the Role
As a Staff Platform Engineer on Charlie Health’s Platform team, you will join a team dedicated to creating Charlie Health’s platform. You will help set the tone and priorities of the program responsible for delivering Charlie Health’s application services.

Responsibilities
- Design and implement authentication and authorization solutions.
- Create architectural patterns that enable growth.
- Establish and maintain container orchestration strategy.
- Establish build strategy creating artifacts and container images.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7+ years experience as a platform engineer working on distributed systems
- Expertise developing event-driven architecture
- Experience deploying infrastructure as code within a production environment
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs
- Outstanding debugging, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
- Experience writing effective unit and integration tests
- Familiarity and knowledge of SQL and relational databases
- Familiarity with a cloud ecosystem such as AWS, GCP, or Azure (AWS preferred)
- Ability to make important technical tradeoff decisions with cross team implications
- Please note: candidates located within 75 minutes' commuting distance of our NYC office are expected to come to office 4 days/week
