Role Summary

SolarWinds, a leader in IT management software, is seeking a Staff Marketing Analytics professional to join our Marketing Analytics team. This highly visible role partners closely with senior marketing leaders to translate complex data into actionable business strategies that drive growth and optimize marketing performance.

The ideal candidate combines deep marketing analytics expertise with strong executive presence, business acumen, and intellectual curiosity. Success in this role requires the ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders, present insights with clarity to leadership audiences, and connect analytical findings to strategic business outcomes.

Location: Austin, TX (3 days in office)
Relocation assistance is not available for this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with marketing leadership to evaluate weekly and monthly performance against company objectives, identify trends, and recommend actions to improve results.
  • Serve as a strategic thought partner to senior stakeholders by translating data into clear business insights and executive-ready recommendations.
  • Identify critical business data needs and convert them into well-defined requirements for analytics and data engineering teams to develop scalable solutions.
  • Analyze customer behavior and marketing performance across the full funnel by combining data from platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Marketo, Salesforce, and Tableau.
  • Drive continuous improvement of Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) initiatives through A/B test measurement, experiment analysis, and data-driven recommendations.
  • Conduct ad hoc analyses and deep dives to uncover opportunities, risks, and strategic insights.
  • Present complex analytical findings to both technical and non-technical audiences, tailoring recommendations appropriately for executives, marketers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Influence decision-making by balancing analytical rigor with practical business considerations.
Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in marketing analytics with demonstrated impact on business performance.
  • Deep understanding of marketing analytics, including:
    • Data capture and integration across marketing technologies,
    • Attribution and ROI measurement,
    • Performance reporting,
    • Translating analytical outputs into business recommendations.
  • Proven experience partnering with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders, with the confidence and executive presence to influence decisions.
  • Strong business acumen and intellectual curiosity, with the ability to ask thoughtful questions and connect analytics to broader organizational goals.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, including experience presenting insights and recommendations to executive audiences.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience with Tableau, Power BI, or comparable visualization tools.
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience with Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, or similar web analytics platforms.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience using SQL, Python, R, or comparable tools for data exploration and analysis.
    • SQL preferred. 
  • Excellent attention to detail, documentation practices, data validation, and self-audit capabilities.
