Overview: We are looking for a seasoned Software Engineer with strong Gen AI experience, to contribute to the design, development, and implementation of AI-driven solutions at Blue Yonder.

The focus of this role is Rapid prototyping of AI agents & gen AI experiences to meet the specific needs of our customers helping them further optimize their supply chain operations. 
As a key player in the Blue Yonder AI Innovation Studio, you will be working on cutting-edge projects that push the boundaries of Generative AI and machine learning in the supply chain and retail domains. 

The ideal candidate loves to code with a passion for innovation and problem-solving.

This is not a research or Data Science/ ML or ML Ops role.

What you will do: 

• Collaborate with the AI development team to ship LLM-powered solutions 
• Craft performant front-end code that is maintainable, testable and scalable 
• Follow UX best practices making use of BY’s visual identity and design systems in innovative ways 
• Develop user-friendly interfaces leveraging best practices in conversational design patterns 
• Stay on top of industry developments and design patterns for gen AI .

What we are looking for: 

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or any engineering or any other related field required
• Min 8+ years of professional experience in Full stack software development, using Agile and
• understanding of Devops and Cloud technologies with a strong portfolio of successful projects and a track record of delivering high-quality applications. 
• Proven track record of shipping products powered by LLMs, RAG systems, and/or AI agents. 
• Expertise in Python as Primary language for backend development and ML/LLM integration.
• Experience in many of the following technical tool sets is REQUIRED.
  • Frameworks: Flask, FastAPI, or Django
  • AsyncIO for asynchronous programming
  • Node.js: For microservices or real-time applications (alternative to Python knowledge)
  • Databases: PostgreSQL or MySQL (Snowflake is a plus)
  • Vector Databases: Qdrant or Pinecone (for LLM applications)
  • API Development: RESTful APIs, GraphQL, WebSockets
  • Frontend Technologies: JavaScript/TypeScript React.js HTML5 & CSS3
  • Frameworks: Next.js or comparable
  • Build Tools: Vite
  • LLM & AI Integration (Optional but strong plus)
  • Machine Learning Frameworks: PyTorch & Hugging Face Transformers
  • LLM APIs: OpenAI API, Anthropic API, or similar
  • Vector Embeddings: sentence-transformers, OpenAI embeddings
  • Model Serving: MLflow, BentoML
  • Data Processing & Analysis (Optional but strong plus)
  • Data Processing: Pandas, NumPy
  • Data Visualization: Matplotlib, Seaborn
  • Big Data: Apache Spark, Airflow
  • Algorithms: Clustering, Classification, Anomaly detection

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
