We're looking for a Staff Frontend Engineer to join our team and contribute to some of SoFi's most innovative products, with a particular focus on our cutting-edge Crypto initiatives. In this role, you'll be instrumental in building future-proof frameworks designed to scale our customer base, enhance user experience, and disrupt the financial industry across vital, interconnected areas. Expect a highly collaborative environment where unified planning and execution are essential for tackling complex, interdependent projects.
What you'll do:- Lead frontend projects and mentor junior team members.
- Develop testable and accessible web applications.
- Collaborate with designers to identify and resolve potential implementation issues.
- Generate, enhance, and advocate for new projects and technologies that drive value.
- Deliver and operate highly available and scalable services in a production environment.
- Communicate effectively with project leads, product managers, and other software developers across multiple projects.
- Define new products or technical architectures for one or more product features.
- Support our technical culture and help the team grow through mentorship.
- 9+ years of extensive experience in frontend engineering, with a strong emphasis on modern JavaScript, TypeScript, and React.
- Bachelor's degree, ideally in a technical field, though we value diverse backgrounds and relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in building responsive designs and developing for mobile-web best practices.
- Solid understanding of software design and architecture principles.
- Demonstrated experience with unit, functional, and end-to-end testing.
- Familiarity with Node.js is a plus.
- A collaborative spirit and a proactive approach to getting things done.
- Strong sense of ownership, driving projects from concept to completion.
- A passion for solving problems and shipping impactful features.
- Experience working effectively in a collaborative coding environment.
