The Opportunity
Design, develop, and validate new hardware and software test solutions or modify existing test solutions to release a new product
to manufacturing. Lead technical activities and design of experiments in resolving issues related to development projects and new
product releases. Prepares and presents reports outlining the outcome of technical projects and makes recommendations for actions
necessary to achieve desired results.
What You Will Do
Performs DPE product setups on Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and industry standard wafer probe and packaged device handling equipment.
Performs software and hardware validation steps (including but not limited to): GR&R, Spike Analysis, Loop Study, Bench Correlation Studies, Pre-production Characterization
Reviews ATE Test Results and the statistical analysis: Sync Pulse (capture DUT stimulus / response, as needed) and Histograms, Failure Mode Paretos, Trend Plots, Correlation Studies
Reviews and approves Product Test Capability (PTC) results and deliverables as outlined in governing PTC specifications.
Core Team Member for development projects where new test solutions will be created, or existing test solutions will be modified to provide manufacturing with a new products test solution.
Participates with the creation of software for Probe and/or Final Test for new devices to be released to Manufacturing. Perform ETS code development for new product specification requirements. Works with U.S. Core Team Members to review, validate and release the new test software, following software control specifications.
Designs new or modifies existing FT &/or Probe Hardware to meet the requirements of new test solution. Works with U.S. Core Team members to review, validate, and release new TED packages as needed. Builds temporary development hardware (modified version of existing hardware) for pre-production characterization usage if modified Production version will not be available for first silicon. Execution of unique Probe hardware modifications for temporary Development characterization requirements will be the responsibility of the U.S. Core Team members, or as determined during the Core Team process for a specific product. Conducts and reports Design Validation & Characterization testing results to the Core Team. Presents results of characterization for the Silicon Reviews.
Reports status and results of all assigned action items outlined in the Core Team minutes, to the core team.
Utilizes the SharePoint electronic product notebook properly, by following the Web Directories and file naming guidelines for Product Engineering. Notification of the Core Team when postings are made.
As a Core Team member, proactive communications on all issues are necessary
Leads test time reductions, platform conversions, and yield improvement projects.
Interfaces with U.S. counterparts on Engineering issues related to Core Team activities and assignments.
Leads efforts in pathfinding work and resolving technical issues related to test and hardware development. Leads initiatives in establishing test and hardware development best practices and performs test, hardware and data reviews.
Provides technical coaching to DPEs and deliver technical trainings to the team.
Provides inputs and recommendations for continuous improvement initiatives that will increase the quality of each development effort and / or reduce the cycle time of any development effort.
Performs other related tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the immediate or next immediate supervisor.
