  • Own and evolve the company's existing Azure landing zones, including management group hierarchy, subscription strategy, hub-and-spoke or Virtual WAN networking, identity, and policy guardrails aligned with the Microsoft Cloud Adoption Framework.

  • Maintain and extend our Terraform codebase, improving modules, state management, environment promotion, and standards so infrastructure changes stay safe, reviewable, and repeatable.

  • Maintain and improve configuration management with Ansible and GitOps-based delivery to Kubernetes (AKS) using Argo CD.

  • Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for infrastructure and application deployments, including automated testing, policy checks, and approval workflows.

  • Operate, secure, and scale shared cloud services, including Azure Functions, Azure Event Hubs, Microsoft Fabric, Azure AI Foundry, and Temporal, partnering with data, AI, and application teams to keep them reliable, governed, and cost-effective.

  • Strengthen security and compliance across the environment through Azure Policy, RBAC, Microsoft Entra ID, Key Vault, private networking, and secrets management, working closely with security stakeholders.

  • Improve monitoring, logging, and alerting with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics; lead incident response and blameless post-incident reviews, and drive improvements in reliability.

  • Manage cloud cost visibility and optimization, including tagging standards, budgets, and right-sizing.

  • Partner with engineering, data, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into infrastructure solutions, and communicate trade-offs clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Write and maintain clear documentation, runbooks, and architecture decision records.

  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8+ years of experience in DevOps, cloud infrastructure, platform, or site reliability engineering, including 2+ years in a technical lead or staff-level role.

  • Deep, hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure in production environments, including networking, identity, compute, storage, and governance services, as well as Azure Functions and Azure Event Hubs.

  • Expert-level Terraform skills, including authoring reusable modules, remote state management, and running Terraform through CI/CD at scale.

  • Experience operating and evolving Azure landing zones built on the Cloud Adoption Framework or equivalent enterprise-scale patterns.

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric (or closely related services such as Synapse, Data Factory, or Power BI Premium), including capacity, workspace, and access management.

  • Strong experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

  • Hands-on experience with Ansible for configuration management.

  • Experience running Kubernetes (preferably AKS) and GitOps delivery with Argo CD or a similar tool.

  • Proficiency in at least one scripting language such as PowerShell, Bash, or Python.

  • Solid understanding of cloud security practices, including least-privilege access, network segmentation, secrets management, and policy-as-code.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical decisions, mentor engineers, and communicate effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
