We are looking for you to join our team as a Staff Core Systems Engineer based out of Baltimore, MD and will require 100% on-site work.
What You’ll get to Do:
As an integral part of our Core Systems Engineering Team, you will be a key contributor to a program that is transforming concepts into real systems and working across disciplines while balancing new and traditional implementations of systems thinking. Some of our major development programs include sensors for current and next generation air and sea platforms: including EA-18 Growler, SEWIP, unmanned programs, and other restricted programs/missions.

Application of systems engineering processes to develop systems that meet customer requirements.

Perform Systems Requirements analysis.

Management of requirements, including decomposition, allocation, verification, and validation
-
Support preparations, execution, and resolution of major system design reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, Physical Configuration Audits (PCAs), Functional Configuration Audits (FCAs), etc.)

Work with product teams in different disciplines and domains to ensure compliance.

Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements.

Work with the SEIT Lead to oversee system configuration management of the System Technical Baseline

Support the transition of the system to the operations, maintenance, and sustainment stakeholders.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree with 14 years of experience, a Master's degree with 12 years of experience, or a PhD with 9 years of experience in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

A current/active DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

Experience with system engineering design methods, including requirements analysis and flow-down, specification derivation and interface control documentation.

Experience participating in major systems reviews, including SRR, SFR, PDR, CDR, etc.

Experience working through the systems engineering process
Preferred Qualifications:
-
Advanced degrees in Science, Technology, Engineer, or Mathematics or other related technical fields.

Active DoD Top Secret Clearance or higher with SAP Access and or SCI eligibility

Technical expertise in RF Sensors sensor systems

Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements

Requirements database development, management, maintenance experience (e.g. DOORS)

Architecture, CONOPS, and use case development using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methodologies.

Experience effectively communicating and presenting complex technical concepts to project, program, and company management, other technical managers, and customers.

Active DoD Top Secret Security Clearance SAP access, and/or SCI eligibility
This position is contingent upon contract award, successful transfer of an active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain Special Program Access (SAP) prior to start.

Salary Range: $157,500.00 - $236,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.The application period for the job is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
