We are looking for a skilled engineer to join our platform team to build reliable, performant, and scalable systems. You will be responsible for creating innovative technical strategies with solid design principles that are executed effectively and on time. After your first year, you will

Assist the platform team to plan and execute various projects on time and within budget.

Design and implement improvements towards a scalable and reliable backend architecture.

Help build and migrate Zello to a fully automated cloud infrastructure platform.
What you’ll do

Act as a mentor to fellow engineers, sharing knowledge and contributing to the team’s continuous improvement and growth.

In collaboration with the application teams, contribute to the backend technology strategy and execution.

Provide architecture and technical leadership and leverage cutting-edge technologies to improve cloud infrastructure and application deployment strategies.

Evaluate and evolve engineering process for the team.

Design, code, and troubleshoot new features while debugging as necessary.

Write clean code to develop functional backend applications.

Manage tools and processes for handling analytics data and metrics that measure and evaluate the quality of services deployed.

Provide the architecture migration roadmap and execution plan to scale Zello’s cloud infrastructure.

Participate in the team’s on-call rotation
Who you are
-
BSc in Computer Science or equivalent experience
-
At least ten years of working experience as a software engineer
-
Ample knowledge and experience in cloud-native architecture design and implementation
-
Experience with Go and Linux
-
Proficient with Docker and major public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure)

Experience in backend API and microservices
-
Experience with infrastructure tooling such as Terraform and Ansible
-
Experience with C++, MongoDB, MySQL, or Elasticsearch is a big plus
