As part of this work, the analyst leads and coordinates cross-functional initiatives, providing project management to ensure business objectives are aligned, sequenced, and delivered on time. The role translates complex business, financial, and operational data, along with relevant industry and market trends, into insights that inform strategic and tactical decision-making, and help define and sequence business requirements that meet customer needs.
Operating with a high degree of autonomy, this role owns ambiguous analytical problem spaces end-to-end, from framing business questions to delivering clear, actionable recommendations to senior leaders. The analyst applies strong financial acumen, domain banking knowledge, and data analysis to guide business decisions.
What you’ll do:
Early Business Unit Design & Cross-Functional Delivery
- Support early Business Banking initiatives and new capabilities by helping define analytical foundations, measurement approaches, and reporting standards from inception.

- Contribute to the development of decision frameworks that clarify tradeoffs, assess options, and support data-driven decision-making across Business Banking initiatives.
- Deliver the framework by collaborating with partners and leveraging data to drive exceptional client experience, best-in-class product, and market share
Stakeholder Management
- Ensure requirements from key stakeholders are captured early and partners are brought along, bought in, and set up for success
- Act as a central owner for Business Banking to raise issues to senior leadership to resolve roadblocks proactively
KPI & Metric Design and Ownership
- Partner closely with Risk stakeholders to define, refine, and maintain key risk indicators (KRIs), and with Business Banking leadership to define and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) that measure business health, customer outcomes, and risk exposure.
- Establish clear metric definitions, data sources, and measurement standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and trust in reported results.
- Monitor and interpret KPI and KRI performance over time, surfacing insights and implications that inform decision-making, prioritization, and risk-aware growth.
Ad Hoc Deep Dives for Leadership
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to support senior leadership decision-making across Business Banking, drawing on internal performance data and external market and industry insights.
- Synthesize complex, multi-source analyses into clear, concise narratives that highlight key findings, implications, and recommended paths forward.
- Respond quickly to emerging business questions, risks, or opportunities, providing thoughtful, data-backed perspectives in fast-moving or ambiguous situations.
- Draws conclusions and makes data-driven recommendations
Ongoing Reporting & Dashboards
- Build and/or closely partner to maintain reporting and dashboards that provide clear, accurate visibility into Business Banking performance, customer outcomes, and risk metrics.
- Continuously evolve reporting to align with established KPIs and KRIs, changing business priorities, and stakeholder needs.
What you’ll need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Analytics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8+ years of experience in business intelligence, analytics, general management, consulting, or related roles within financial services or similarly complex, regulated environments.
- Demonstrated experience translating complex business problems into data-driven insights, business requirements, and decision frameworks.

What We Do
SoFi wasn’t built to be a bank. Or a technology company. We were built for one mission: help people achieve financial independence so they can realize their ambitions. Redefining an entire industry isn’t easy work—and it’s not for the faint of heart. It takes a certain kind of team. People with diverse perspectives and expertise, united by a common sense of purpose. People willing to challenge assumptions but always do the right thing. People proving that innovation and responsibility don’t have to compete, but can come together to create something truly unconventional in the world. For the last eight years, we’ve been charting this new path forward. We call it The SoFi Way. At SoFi, we don’t just talk about culture: we live it. The SoFi Way is how we show up every day, how we make decisions, and how we build for our members, clients, and each other.
