As a Staff AI Engineer, you will set the technical vision and lead the delivery of advanced Generative AI and agent-based solutions across the organization. Operating at a global scale, you will drive innovation, mentor senior engineers, and ensure the development of robust, scalable, and responsible AI systems that deliver real business value.
You will collaborate closely with:
  • Senior software and AI engineers, and solution architects across multiple teams
  • Product managers, business stakeholders, and platform teams to align technical solutions with strategic objectives
  • Cross-functional partners to drive adoption of best practices and organizational standards

  • Oversee Technical Delivery: Lead and advise on multiple GenAI and agent projects, ensuring technical excellence, scalability, and reliability across solutions
  • Guide Technical Strategy: Set and communicate best practices for GenAI and agent systems, influencing organization-wide standards and technical direction.
  • Mentor and Develop Talent: Mentor senior engineers, facilitate knowledge transfer, and drive organizational development through coaching and technical leadership
  • Evaluate Emerging Trends: Continuously assess new AI technologies and methodologies for strategic fit, recommending adoption where appropriate.
  • Ensure Responsible AI: Design and enforce policies, guardrails, and controls for safety, privacy, and compliance; embed governance into the delivery lifecycle.
  • Drive Innovation: Lead the development and orchestration of advanced GenAI features and products, including prompt design, multi-step flows, tool/agent integration, and API wiring.
  • Collaborate Across Functions: Engage in organizational development and strategic planning, partnering with stakeholders to align technical solutions with business objectives.
  • Own Product Lifecycle: Oversee the full AI engineering product lifecycle, from architecture and prototyping to productionization, launch, governance, and ongoing operations.

Basic Qualifications
  • Advanced degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience in AI, ML, or software engineering roles, with at least 2 years in a senior or staff-level capacity (2 + years of experience with a PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline )
  • Strong proficiency in Python and modern AI frameworks (e.g., LangChain, AI Foundry, or similar toolkits).
  • Deep experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) and MLOps/LLMOps tools.
  • Proven track record in designing, building, and operationalizing GenAI solutions, including prompt engineering, RAG architectures, and multi-agent workflows.
  • Solid understanding of data pipelines, APIs, vector databases, and model deployment.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical delivery across multiple projects and mentor senior engineers.
  • Experience implementing software engineering best practices: clean architecture, modular code, API design, automated testing, CI/CD, cloud/container orchestration, security, and performance tuning.

Preferred Qualifications
  • PhD in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Pharmaceutical, healthcare, or consulting industry experience.
  • Expertise in Generative AI, Large Language Models, and adjacent technologies.
  • Experience developing and delivering AI-driven PoCs and MVPs at enterprise scale.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex technical and business challenges.
  • Experience in technical strategy, organizational development, and cross-functional collaboration.
