Job Summary: 

This position’s responsibilities include the accurate and timely preparation and analyses of certain financial operations of the company, and all other fiscally related duties. This role will contribute significantly to ensuring the integrity of US GAAP, follow company policy and procedures, and ensure compliance with regulations.

 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
•    Perform the month-end and year-end close cycle, including but not limited to reviewing & reconciling general ledger account balances to subledger reports.
•    Ensure accounting accuracy of the company’s financials.
•    Work with the Controller, accounting manager, accounting team, and management team to support business needs.
•    Ability to research and reconcile discrepancies and verify documents in accordance with accounting policies and procedures.
•    Update accounting work instructions and recommend/create new or revised policies and procedures.
•    Work closely with the business leaders to provide them key accounting information.
•    Assist the accounting manager for year-end audit tasks and bank audit tasks.
•    Support other duties as assigned for business needs.
•    Rotate accounting functional areas as needed and determined by the accounting manager.
•    Have a continuous improvement mindset and work over time to achieve this in various tasks.
•    Actively identifies and implements improvements to processes, tools, and workflows to enhance efficiency, quality, and business outcomes. Leverages available tools and technologies, including AI-enabled solutions, to streamline workflows, improve efficiency, and enhance outcomes.

Managerial Responsibility
•    This position does not have direct reports.

Travel/Shift Requirements
•    This position does not require travel

Physical Demands
•    The position requires frequent sitting and keyboarding.
•    This position is expected to occasionally lift up to 10 pounds.

Skills and Abilities Required
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills
•    Strong analytical skills and financial modeling skills are preferred
•    Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers
•    Advanced Knowledge of Microsoft Office products, in-particular Excel
•    AI/automation knowledge and/or experience preferred, but not required

Education and Experience Required
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•    2 years of work experience in the Accounting field
•    ERP systems experience; Oracle or SAP preferred, but not required
