Staff Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Staff Accountant to join our Accounting Team. This role plays a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing journal entries, performing reconciliations, analyzing cash activities, and supporting the month-end close process.

The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of US GAAP, hands-on experience with U.S.-based accounting, advanced Excel skills, and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance.

• Perform daily reconciliations of cash, credit card, and third-party deposits; investigate and resolve variances with operations
  
• Prepare and distribute weekly financial reports (store revenue, labor, and food costs)
  
• Record weekly inventory adjustments and generate inventory reports for store locations
  
• Post monthly journal entries and assist with accruals and financial statement preparation
  
• Review and analyze Profit & Loss (P&L) statements and address inquiries from operations teams
  
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts on a monthly or quarterly basis
  
• Compile monthly and quarterly financial statements (Balance Sheet, Income Statement, Cash Flow Statement)
  
• Prepare and reconcile franchise royalties and advertising reports
  
• Support month-end close processes and assist with ad hoc accounting projects
  

• Strong working knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (US GAAP)
  
• Minimum of 3 years of hands-on accounting experience with U.S.-based companies
  
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field
  
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, complex formulas)
  
• Hands-on experience with accruals
  
• Strong background in general accounting:

• Experience with general ledger systems (Sage 300 preferred)
  
• Background in retail or quick-service restaurant (QSR) accounting
