Probate Advance is seeking a Staff Accountant to support our exceptional team and growing business. This is an excellent opportunity for a quick learner with an analytical mindset, looking to advance his or her career while working in a rewarding, intimate, team-oriented environment.
This position is based out of Probate Advance’s Rye Brook, NY office.
Responsibilities:
- Assists with the preparation of accounting/financials
- Manages client fundings and cash inflows/outflows
- Creates and manages new invoices
- Assists with operations due diligence tasks as needed
- Gains understanding of the legal aspects of probate and probate court filings
- Reviews and prepares expense reports
- Process vendor invoices and statements
- Complete audit requests
- Assists with month-end reconciliations
- Collaborates with parent company accounting team
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required
- Financial, accounting or audit experience preferred
- Must understand basic accounting and have strong Excel and computer skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to integrate into a fast-paced environment
- Must be a team player
- Must be able to work in-office at our Rye Brook, NY office
